John was not only my beloved husband, but also my best friend. We were indeed soul mates and I mean that in the religious sense of that phrase. In the midst of my deep grief, I am comforted that John is at peace in the presence of the God he loved and served. He was a much better Christian than I am. I continue to be inspired by his example. As I have reflected on his life, one scripture verse has come to mind John 1 v 6 “There was a man sent from God whose name was John”. I do not say, goodbye my darling John but farewell until we meet again. God, please look after John for me until we are reunited not just for eighteen years but for all eternity.
